Greenville Drive pitcher Nick Hagadone is back on the active list after missing most of 2008 with Tommy John surgery.
Thursday night he had a pitch count of 45 and used them to his best advantage by striking out 4 and giving up no runs and no hits in 2.2 inning.
As the No. 3 prospect of the Boston Red Sox, according to the Baseball America list, he should have been getting a bit more ink for his recoverty efforts. So far, though, all I can find is one brief mention by the Drive on their Web site.
In two games back he’s had six strikeouts in 4.1 innings, giving up just one hit and no runs. We’ll be hearing a lot more from him soon.

There hasn’t been much press about Nick. Good luck in his recovery.
