“Ozzie” Albies is the 2015 Rome Braves Player of the Year

The Atlanta #Braves have named INF Ozhanio “Ozzie” Albies the 2015 Rome Braves Player of the Year.

17-year-old makes Class A Sally League debut

Espinoza was pulled from his Class A debut with one out in the fourth inning on Saturday after allowing three runs on four hits. He walked two and struck out four.

The Red Sox signed the Venezulean righthander in July 2014 and was called up to the Greenville Drive on Friday.

In 10 starts for the Gulf Coast League Red Sox this year, Espinoza posted a 0.68 ERA with three earned runs, 40 strikeouts and just nine walks.

Prior to the GCL, Espinoza posted a 1.20 ERA in four starts with the Red Sox lowest level affiliate in the Dominican Summer League.

Greenville Drive second baseman Yoan Moncada has been named to the South Atlantic League Annual All-Star Team and was selected as the league’s Most Outstanding MLB Prospect, league President Eric Krupa announced Tuesday.
