Jim Rice gets his special night in Greenville

The Greenville Drive recognized recent Hall of Fame inductee Rim Rice with 
"Jim Rice Night" Thursday in Greenville, S.C.

Rice, who grew up and played ball in nearby Anderson, played left field for the Boston Red Sox from 1974 to 1989, and was elected to the Hall in his 15th and final year of eligibility. 

Rice was an eight-time all-star and American League MVP in 1978.
